Renown City Lawyer Male Mabirizi has dragged the House of Prayer Ministries commonly known as the CANAN LAND and CEO Salt Media Pr. Bujingo and his newly introduced found wife Suzan Makula Nantaba to court for engaging in another marriage when the previous one had not been cancelled.
Pr. Bujingo who has been married to Ms Teddy Naluswa bujingo, but separated, the former went to court and filed for divorce which the latter challenged.
However the High court Family Division presided over by Justice Joseph Murangira directed Pt. Bugingo to first consider the option of mediation before the case should be heard and after some time the mediation said the process has hit a dead end.
In an interview with the Local TV, Ms Teddy Naluswa the wife of embattled Pr. Aloysious Bugingo has said she is not in any way thinking of divorcing her husband even after all the marital woes that surrounded their marriage. This Prompted Pr Bujingo to proceed and marry the new found young lady Suzan Makula an employee at Salt Media, this was sparked with a kukyala function to Makula’s home and followed by a traditional Kwanjula (Introduction) on December 7, 2021 a day that many didn’t see coming as legal threats have over the past week been directed to House of Prayer Ministries lead Pastor, Aloysius Bujingo and his fiancée, Suzan Makula.
It is from this case that the renown City Lawyer City Marbirizi stood on grounds of Article 50 of Marriage act which states “any one in official marriage say of church or registrar and is still active not canceled, is not allowed to get involved in customary marriage and when he/she does so and is convicted is subjected to imprisonment not exceeding 5yrs”
