MP Zaake who has appeared before the parliamentary disciplinary committee for insulting the integrity of Parliament after he took to social media and used offensive language to express his dissatisfaction with the Deputy Speaker’s statement regarding his alleged torture.
The legislators accused MP Zaake of incompetence, lack of discipline among others issues.
According to rule 110 of the Rules of Procedure of Parliament provides that Member of the Commission, other than the Speaker or the Leader of Government, Leader of the Opposition or the Minister of finance may be removed from office by Parliament for;
incompetence;
misconduct;
insanity; or
inability to perform the functions of his or her office arising from infirmity of body or mind.
Zaake Francis was today 10th March 2021 voted ou by the majority to see him out of the parliament commission office, Hon. Zaake has been censured as Commissioner of Parliament. 155 voted for him to be censured, 4 voted for him not to be censured, while 2 were invalid.
