Norbert Mao Appointed Minister for Justice & Constitutional Affairs

The Democratic Party (DP) Leader Hon. Nobert Mao aka Chairman Mao, has today 7/21/2022 been unveiled as the New Minister for Justice and constitutional affairs, Hamson Obua – Gov’t Chief whip and Peter Ogwang goes to education docket.

In a statement that was released by the President of Uganda HE: Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, he confirmed having met with Chairman Mao “I met with Democratic Party President Norbert Mao at State House Entebbe. We signed a cooperation agreement between the NRM and the DP. I salute the DP leadership for this gesture of mature, foresighted and constructive politics” Museveni Said.

Its from this point the Hon. Nobert Mao was appointed the Minister for Justice and constitutional affairs

By virtue of the authority conferred on the President by Articles 113(1) and 114 (1) of the 1995 constitution of the Republic of Uganda, I hereby appoint persons below as Cabinet Ministers and Ministers of State. pic.twitter.com/DZbtNX8HxG

However Hon. Nobert Mao has come out to speak on this appointment “I want to tell you that we remain DP. The cooperation has some specific agreements”. – Norbert Mao
