Uganda Airlines Passengers frustrated over missing luggage

On Friday 3rd of December 2021 Passenger from Johannesburg arrived at Entebbe International Airport only to find that their luggage was not loaded after the check-in.

as it is the case that passenger bags are normally carried through a conveyer belt to be sorted at the destination as the flight number is always tagged on before being loaded on the plane such that the airline baggage handlers unload the baggage carousels for passengers to pick up when the Plane lands.

On this case On Friday at 3:56PM, the Uganda Airlines flight number UR-711 landed at the Entebbe Airport with more that 50 passengers, they waited for more than 2hr only to be told that some of the bags were left in South Africa at O.R Tambo Airport.

one of the frustrated passenger said that she was persuaded to board the airline since it was a direct flight with the fair flight rate between $330 to $370 for a return flight compared to other big airlines like Ethiopian and KQ which has no direct flights and charge between $450 to $600 for the same route.

The frustrated passengers included two siblings returning for festive season, a farther picking up his son from studies, the other who had to say that her sister had arrived last Sunday but had not received her two bags though hey were told that their luggage will be brought.
